A SILVER LINING: HEALTH CO-BENEFITS OF CLIMATE CHANGE POLICIES

Policies that need to be implemented to reduce greenhouse gas emissions will also bring about substantial reductions in air pollution and cardiovascular disease. These policies will change urban mobility and our built environment as well. Including health benefits in the discussion creates a different paradigm—one that represents a win-win for most people, and for the planet. This panel of environmental health experts will discuss the health co-benefits of climate change policies.

Panelists will include:
Jeremy Hess, MD, MPH, University of Washington
Kathy Strange, P.E., M.S., Puget Sound Clean Air Agency
Andy Dannenberg, University of Washington
