Who We Are
In 2002, a group of colleagues at Immunex, a local biotechnology company, decided to start a foundation focused on the Puget Sound region and built on the company’s flourishing culture of interdisciplinary expertise, creativity and collaboration. It was set up as a Collaborative Funding Model: It’s a new order of business best described as philanthropy with wide rather than deep pockets, capturing the smaller donations of many individuals and leveraging them into larger, more transformative grants.
10 years and two name changes later, Sustainable Path is a successful 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization. At the heart of our mission is the recognition of the interconnected nature of systems in our world and the vital need to work together on our path into the future.
